'Ramayana' Commemorative Stamp Release
Embassy of India, Riyadh organized the ‘Ramayana’ commemorative stamp release ceremony at 1700 hrs (local time) on September 22, 2017 in the Embassy auditorium. The ceremony was attended by a cross section of the Indian community members and Embassy officials.
Department of Posts, Government of India brought out a set of commemorative stamps considering the cultural significance and outreach of ‘Ramayana’ across the world. The stamps had been shared with the Indian Missions abroad to make these stamps available to the Indian diaspora.
Following the release of these commemorative stamps by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 1900 hrs (IST) on September 22, 2017 in Varanasi, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia H.E Ahmad Javed released the Brochure on Ramayana, Miniature Sheet, Sheetlet containing a set of 11 stamps and First day Cover.
The Indian community in Saudi Arabia showed interest in purchasing the commemorative stamps and also took selfies with Ambassador Ahmad Javed.

71st Independence Day Celebrations
With great joy and enthusiasm, the 71st Independence Day of India was celebrated in the Embassy of India, Riyadh today. Ambassador Ahmad Javed hoisted the national flag, which was followed by the rendition of the National Anthem and patriotic songs presented by the students. Ambassador read out Hon’ble President of India’s message to a gathering of over 500 Indian community members, officials of the Mission and their families. Addressing the audience, Ambassador also appreciated the valuable support extended by the Saudi authorities to the Indian Community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
H.E. Mr. Ahmad Javed, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called on HRH Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard, today. During the meeting, they exchanged cordial talks on a number of Issues of bilateral interests, with special emphasis on further strengthening the cultural engagements between the two friendly countries, along the side of furthering trade and investment cooperation. Minister of National Guard appreciated India's significant achievements in the fields science and IT. Ambassador Ahmad Javed also thanked the Minister for ensuring the welfare and safety of the large Indian community in the Kingdom.

H. E. Mr. Ahmad Javed, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arbaia met Mr. Tamim Majed Al Dosary, Deputy Minister for Consular Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Riyadh today (16.01.2017).
During the meeting, they exchanged cordial talks on a number of issues of mutual interest, with special emphasis on ensuring the welfare of Indian community members in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and speeding up of grievances redressal mechanism.
H. E. Mr. Ahmad Javed, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arbaia met Dr. Esam A. Alwagait, Deputy Minister for Technical Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Riyadh today (15.01.2017).
During the meeting, they exchanged cordial talks on a number of issues of mutual interest, with special emphasis on further expanding the engagements in the technical and IT fields between the reputed institutes of the two countries. Ambassador also invited Dr. Al-Waqeet to visit the IT centres of repute in India.
